Mathew is part of the Litigation Department, specialising in civil & criminal litigation. He regularly appears in court as an advocate for his clients and has experience dealing with a broad range of disputes. Mathew provides pragmatic advice that is focused on identifying solutions and achieving outcomes for his clients.  

Mathew graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2018 with a combined degree in Business and Law, with honours in Law. He was subsequently admitted as a practitioner of the Supreme Court of Tasmania after obtaining his Graduate Certificate of Legal Practice in 2018. Following admission, Mathew was employed by a Hobart law firm for a number of years before commencing at Douglas & Collins in 2021.

 Mathew is a Launceston local who is the Vice President of the Northern Tasmanian Football Association.
